Join us for a global celebration of innovation.

How can architecture be a force for good in our ever-changing world? In the face of environmental upheaval, political turmoil and unprecedented health crises, architects are being challenged to adapt. They must now react not only to the needs of clients, but also to climate change, socio-political turbulence and the ever-changing needs of vulnerable communities.

How can design address these complex issues? What should architecture look like in the next decade, and how should it function? Even more crucially, what role can architects play in making the world a more resilient, more sustainable, and more equitable place for all?

During Future Fest, we’ll be asking some of the world’s best architects, each one an A+Award-winning designer, for their answers to these questions and more. They’ll offer insights on the future of architecture at every scale: From the design of cities and environments, to buildings of all typologies, to the material details that bring architecture to life.

Listen to extraordinary architectural thought leaders.

The Future Fest Agenda

Week 1:
The Future of Cities

Future Fest starts with a focus on urban space, from the re-imagining of ancient metropolises to the emergence of newly planned ‘smart cities’. Featuring experts in the fields of urban planning, public space design and landscape architecture, we’ll explore the art of place-making against the backdrop of COVID-19, urbanization, remote work and more.

Week 2:
The Future of Architecture

Zooming in to the individual building scale, we’ll explore the world’s best projects across all typologies, from houses and offices to museums and schools. We’ll speak to the architects behind these buildings, as they reveal how emerging design and construction processes could enable a new era of more sustainable, resilient and equitable architecture.

Week 3:
The Future of Materials

Finally, we’ll throw the spotlight on extraordinary architectural details and material innovations in contemporary construction. We’ll speak to architects that are harnessing traditional materials in dynamic new ways, challenging technical limitations to create buildings that are more resilient, more beautiful and more ergonomic for their users.
